Public officials must use public transportation, public health care, and send their kids to public school.  Nothing they do is so important they need to fly first class.  A total lark? Even by comparison to the others?  Yes.  But other people (including a few scholars) have suggested the same thing.  Hard to imagine such an arrangement would make transport, heath care, and school worse.
