If everyone at Harvard had to grow a garden or make a shoe before they graduated, it would be a better place, the world better too, perhaps. If ivy league et al admissions requirements favored those who rode bikes, took public transportation and could handle watering a tomato it would change education and the country more than a bushel full of nobel laureates.
