First of all not all the spires bonging bells are churches. Some were dedicated to power or money or whatever. Most now work in the cause of beauty.
But all the big churches--Wester, Zuid, Neiw, Old ring bells. Some chime on the quarter, others at half past. Each bangs the hour.
When not made deaf by your own thoughts, the cities quiet grants you a chance to hear them--your thoughts--alongside chimes to celebrate some idea of as reminder of what tolls for you,
tolls for you, or someone like you.
In any case, the bells need not be ranked, one against the other, as best or next best in terms of how they sound.
