What’s incredible is that the sons of former slaves and former slaveholders held hands and jumped the broom of race, at least that once, at least over half-way.
But public servants put up public institutions to private bidders, market forces promote profitable jails and crappy schools, and no one can get around, easily or on the cheap. Slaves still, maybe more than ever, at least more than half.
